University of Manchester Global Development Institute (GDI) Masters Scholarships

World Health Organisation (WHO) Internship Programme

Application Deadline: 30th June

Participants include both students and young professionals from different cultural, academic, as well as geographic backgrounds with a common interest: a motivation to pursue a career in supporting public health. Interns/volunteers come from the region of the Africa, and Asia.

University of Kent LLM Scholarships for Kenyan and Nigerian Students

High Achiever Scholarships for African Students at University of Nottingham

Wellcome Trust International Training Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine

This scheme offers research experience and training to early-stage researchers from low- and middle-income countries. The scheme aims to support research that will improve public health and tropical medicine at a local, national and global level.

Standard Bank Derek Cooper (Fully-Funded) Africa Scholarship at Cambridge University

Borel Global Fellows Masters Scholarships at University of Delaware

Made possible by a generous gift from Jim and Marcia Borel, the program provides opportunities for one to two students from Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Uganda to complete an MS degree at the University of Delaware while conducting research in their home country in an area of critical need.

Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) Masters Scholarships

MINDS Scholarships are applicable to full-time studies of a one or two-year Honours or Master’s degree at one of the MINDS preferred institutions in Africa.

New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships (Masters and PhD) for Commonwealth Countries

Financial support opportunities for African students are not as common in New Zealand compared to countries like UK. However there are scholarship programmes students from Africa can partake in. The FAO-Hungary scholarship programme enables a select group of young professionals to undertake master’s level studies in English at one of Hungary’s agricultural universities.

Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL) Scholarships for East African Students

Application Deadline: 15th January

Applications are invited, especially from candidates in the East African Community Partner States for entry into the postgraduate study programmes in law (LLM or PhD) offered by the Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL).

Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship

The Aga Khan Foundation provides scholarships each year for postgraduate studies. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant : 50% loan basis through a competitive application process. RUFORUM MasterCard Undergraduate & Masters Scholarships for African Students

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) is partnering with the MasterCard Foundation, Gulu University, and Egerton University to enhance the application of science, technology, business, and innovation for rural agriculture. 70% will be for Kenya and Uganda nationals.

University of Edinburgh Surgery Online Global Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries

Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (JUST) Scholarships – China

KAAD Germany Fellowship Programme (Masters & PhD) for Developing Countries

L’Oréal-UNESCO Sub-Saharan Regional Fellowships

Study in Italy: CICOPS Scholarships for Developing Countries

University of Brighton Forward Bound Scholarships
