Belgian Institution Scholarships for International Students
The ARES gives out annually an average of 150 masters scholarships and 70 training scholarships through courses to nationals of developing countries. Covered in the scholarship are international travel expenses, living allowance, tuition fees, insurance, housing allowance, etc.
Belgian American Education Foundation Fellowships
The Belgian American Educational Foundation (B.A.E.F.) encourages applications from citizens or permanent residents of the United States for fellowships for advanced study or research during one academic year, at a Belgian University or institution of higher learning. The B.A.E.F. will award up to ten fellowships each carrying a stipend of $27,000 for Masters or Ph.D. students or $31,000 for Post-doctoral Fellows.
Erasmus Mundus Programmes in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation
Study grants are awarded for Erasmus Mundus Master’s degrees and doctorate degrees at Belgian Universities.
Belgian Government Scholarship

Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarship for International Students
The Government of Flanders has launched a new scholarship program known as Master Mind Scholarships, the objective to promote the internationalization of the Flemish Higher Education. Over 35 scholarships are awarded to outstanding Master students from every country in the world. The incoming students are on the other hand awarded scholarships of maximum 7.500 Euro per academic year. The Flemish Host Institution can ask the applicant for a tuition fee of maximum 100 Euro per year.

K. U Leuven University
The [email protected] Scholarship is reserved for highly motivated and talented international students who have an interest in participating in an international master programme of the Faculty of Science in K.U.Leuven. The worth of the scholarship is within 10,000 Euro for 1 year. The scholarship covers the tuition fee for 1 year, the insurance and basic health insurance coverage. The amount awarded for living expenses may sometimes differ.
The Global Minds Doctoral Scholarships Programme equally offers deserving students from developing countries scholarships to do their PhD at K.U. Leuven.
Ghent University Top-up Grants for Developing Countries
Ghent University provides Top-up Grants to candidates from all countries on the OESO-DAC list, who wish to obtain a master’s degree at Ghent University. The scholarship consists of an allowance of 1,000 euro per month and all-in insurance.
She also has a programme which grants PhD scholarships to promising PhD students from developing countries who wish to carry out part of their PhD research at Ghent University and the other part in a university in a developing country.

Liege University offers scholarships for both EU and non EU students who desire to undergo a Master’s Degree or PhD Degree at the University.
