The Master Mind Scholarships, funded by the Flemish Ministry of Education, provide financial support to outstanding international students pursuing Master’s programmes at Flemish universities, Schools of Arts, and the Antwerp Maritime Academy. The programme promotes Flanders and Brussels as top study destinations, with a total budget of €480,000 supporting about 30 international students.

  • Any Master’s programme at a Flemish higher education institution.
  • Excluded programmes:

Who can Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Apply for a Master’s degree programme at a Flemish institution.
  • Hold a GPA of 3.5/4.0 (calculated via Scholaro).
  • Provide proof of English proficiency (valid within 3 years):
    • IELTS ≥ 7.0 (≥ 6.5 for Schools of Arts)
    • TOEFL ≥ 94 (≥ 90 for Schools of Arts)
    • CEFR C1 (B2 for Schools of Arts)
  • Be accepted by the host institution.
  • Not already hold a degree from a Flemish institution (credit mobility allowed).
  • Not already enrolled in a Flemish programme (except preparatory students starting a Master’s in Sept 2026).
  • Be of any nationality (except Russian).

How are Applicants Selected?

Selection is based on a 100-point rubric:

  • Motivation letter (30 points)
  • Transcript of records (30 points)
  • Recommendation letters (20 points)
  • Host institution endorsement (10 points)
  • Applicant’s top talent profile (10 points)

Applications are reviewed by two independent jury members, with re-evaluation if scores differ by more than 8%.

    • 2 years for 120 ECTS programmes (must earn ≥ 54 ECTS in Year 1).
