Scholarship in Netherlands, like every other scholarship, helps to alleviate the academic expenses incurred by students in the course of their studies.
- Bright Minds Fellowships at Utrecht University in Netherlands, 2020
To apply, students have to apply for an admission for a Master’s program at the university. You must meet the entry and English requirements to be qualified. The amount of the scholarship is between €5000 and €10000. It also awards a living expense fee of €11000.
- University of Twente 50 Master’s Scholarships in the Netherlands
The scholarship is available for 50 courses in the Netherlands which include Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Public Administration, Psychology and so on.
- Radboud Scholarship Prgramme
The scholarship is full funded and is open for students looking for Master’s scholarships.
- Netherlands Fellowship Programme
This is for professionals in 51 countries to complete training in education in Netherlands. The scholarship prioritises female applicants and applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa.

This is a fully-funded scholarship covering tuition and living expenses.
- Full QuTech Scholarships at Delft University of Technology
The scholarship is available for postgraduate students who wish to study Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Physics. All applicants are required to pay €120 application fee.
- Radboud University Medical Study Fund for Non-EU students
The scholarship is available to only African and Asian students.
- Marie Curie PhD Fellowship in the Netherlands
The scholarship is available for foreign researchers who wish to acquire a certificate in Strategic Management. The award includes training and research on the intersection of academia and business, salary for PhD level, travel allowances for conference and research purposes and a high caliber doctoral programme.
- Netherlands LUMC Leading Fellows Postdocs Programme
The scholarship is available for post-doctorate students at Leiden University. The award includes an opportunity to work in an employment for 36 hours for the duration of 24 months. The salary amounts to a maximum of €4216 per month for full-time employment.
- Holland Scholarships for Non-European International Students
The scholarship is partially funded with €5000 for the first year to cover costs. It is also available for Master’s programmes.
- 50% Scholarships for Online Education at Delft University of Technology
The scholarship covers only 50% of the tuition fee and is offered online.
- Netherlands University of Groningen Fund for Developing Countries
The scholarship is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. It is only available for courses offered by the university. The grant covers tuition fees, cost of international travel, subsistence, books and health insurance.
- Netherlands Fontys ACI Creative Mind Undergraduate Scholarship for Non-EU Students.
Interested candidates can apply for scholarships to study Business Administration, Arts and Humanities, Arts and Business. English Language Education is also available for international students. Cost of Studying in Netherlands
The cost of studying at Dutch universities varies depending on a student’s nationality. The government covers most of the costs. However, there are some statutory fees required of the students to bear themselves. It is an annual amount of €2000 set by the government.
University fees for Non-EU students are dependent on the university applied for, the programme applied for and the amount of the scholarship offered to the candidate.
Private schools are more expensive than government schools. The tuition fees ranges roughly from €16000 to €36000.
The Dutch government also has a student financing system to assist students with paying their study and living costs.
There are also additional costs while studying in Netherlands. They include visa and residence permit fees, travel costs to arrive at Netherlands, accommodation fees, health insurance costs (this depends on the duration of your stay and where you are from), study materials, daily travel costs, among others. In addition, students are eligible for discounts in many bars, museums, restaurants and cinemas.

- Your previous results stamped by the school authorities.
- A reference letter.
You will need to submit your application online, stating the programme you are interested in.
