The Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation aims to stimulate and reward engineering entrepreneurship in sub-Saharan Africa. The Africa Prize will encourage ambitious and talented sub-Saharan African engineers from all disciplines to apply their skills to develop scalable solutions to local challenges, highlighting the importance of engineering as an enabler of improved quality of life and economic development. The Japanese Government’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships for academic study in Japan to foreign students interested in deepening their understanding of the Japanese language, Japanese affairs and Japanese culture. The College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS) in partnership with George Boole and Presidential Merit Scholarships awards annual scholarships to eligible foreign students to cover the difference between the EU and international tuition fee for undergraduate or masters degree programme. These scholarships are available to international students and selection will be on the basis of the candidate’s academic performance in his/her secondary school leaving examinations and/or first degree.
