SAIF Global Impact International Scholarship in China 2012

Merit-Based Full and Partial MBA/Master of Finance Scholarship
Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) offers the Global Impact Scholarship (GIS) which is a merit-based award exclusively for eight qualified international and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan students in the form of tuition waiver. The MBA scholarship is initiated in an effort to promote diversity on campus and encourage more international applicants to apply to the MBA/Master of Finance program,

Applicants must submit a complete set of application materials in order to be considered for the scholarship.
Applicants of 2012 whose nationality is non-Chinese or who are permanent residents of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan are by default potential recipients of GIS. No additional application is required.
Full-time students will be given priority in receiving GIS.

Scholarship Worth
The Global Institute Scholarship only pertains to the tuition fee. Applicants are responsible for their own living/academic expenses such as lodging, meals, club fees, and books.

Decisions will be made based on the following merits:
Undergrad GPA
GMAT/GRE score
Other academic/professional credentials (such as the CFA)
Interpersonal skills
Future career prospects

Scholarship Category
The Global Impact Scholarship comes in two categories: the Laureate Award, which covers full tuition for one MBA and one Master in Finance student, and the Premium Award, which covers half of the tuition fees for two MBAs and four Master in Finance students.

Terms and Restrictions
The upper limit of the awards is eight students per year, but there can be vacancies if the selection criteria are not met. The bestowment will depend on the quantity and quality of the applicants of 2012.
