Ibsen International Scholarships in Norway – Drama and Performimg Arts 2014
The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated in 2007 by the Norwegian government and handed out for the first time in 2008. Scholarships are awarded innovative projects in the field of drama and performing arts and projects that act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen.
The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated by the Norwegian government and will be handed out for the 7th time in 2014. Scholarships are applicable to individuals, organizations or institutions within the artistic and cultural community. The International Ibsen Scholarships are awarded annually. The scholarship committee wish for as many relevant applications as possible, from projects throughout the world.

The scholarships are meant to act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen.
Scholarship funds amount to NOK 1,000,000,- (approx. 135.000 Euro/180.000 US Dollars) will be awarded projects worldwide.
Application deadline for the Ibsen Scholarships is April 30th 2014.
Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
In Previous years, projects from Asia, North-America, Europe, Africa and Australia have received scholarships.
Scholarships are awarded based on a written application, which should arrive no later than the predetermined deadline, and which must abide by the rules set for the application procedure. The applications are subject to scrutiny by an appointed jury.
