Cost of Studying in Netherlands

The cost of studying at Dutch universities varies depending on a student’s nationality. The government covers most of the costs. However, there are some statutory fees required of the students to bear themselves. It is an annual amount of €2000 set by the government.

University fees for Non-EU students are dependent on the university applied for, the programme applied for and the amount of the scholarship offered to the candidate.

Private schools are more expensive than government schools. The tuition fees ranges roughly from €16000 to €36000.

The Dutch government also has a student financing system to assist students with paying their study and living costs.

There are also additional costs while studying in the Netherlands. They include visa and residence permit fees, travel costs to arrive in the Netherlands, accommodation fees, health insurance costs (this depends on the duration of your stay and where you are from), study materials, daily travel costs, among others.
