Scholarships for Studies at African Universities
African Leadership University (Rwanda)
Scholarship for students to pursue post-secondary education at African Leadership University in Kigali, Rwanda. (For Rwandans living in Kigali, it will only cover tuition fees). The scholarship will identify 100 outstanding young Africans from disadvantaged backgrounds to attend ALU Kigali.
African Leadership University (Rwanda or Mauritius)
This scholarship is awarded to Zambian nationals hoping to pursue undergraduate studies in STEM disciplines at the African Leadership University in Rwanda or Mauritius. The award fully covers tuition fees.
Ashesi University (Ghana) OR Covenant University (Nigeria)
This scholarship is a partnership between the Jim Ovia Foundation and the Africa-America Institute; The award will provide comprehensive scholarships to select high achieving students from under resourced backgrounds, including tuition, room, and board for undergraduate study.
Landmark OR Covenant University (Nigeria)
David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarships for African students (all nationals) to study in Nigeria, at either Landmark or Covenant University. The scholarship program covers the full academic fees for a 5-year duration of study and in some categories, travels and living expenses for the duration of the course of study. Must be younger than 23 years old at the time of application and have secured admission to either university. Must also possess an internationally recognized high school diploma or equivalent.
University of Cape Town (South Africa)
The Klaus-Jürgen Bathe Leadership Programme is open to all undergraduate students enrolled in any of the six faculties of the University of Cape Town. Students can apply in their first year of study, or after completing first year. However, there must be at least two years of the degree programme remaining at the time of award. Postgraduate students are not eligible. It is expected that the majority of scholars will be citizens of South Africa, candidates from other sub-Saharan African countries are also welcome to apply. The scholarship offers full financial support to the value of R120,000-00 per year, intended to cover tuition fees, accommodation, meals and an allowance for books, stationery and transport.
University of Ghana, Legon (Ghana)
The Fondazione Edu Scholarship Focuses on the disciplines of technical-scientific and agronomic; Offers African students the opportunity to access higher education in their country of origin. The Scholarship will cover tuition, books, as well as room and board, and will be awarded for four years as long as excellent academic standards of at least a B average of 3.00 CGPA continue to be met and need is demonstrated.
