United Republic of Tanzania Scholarships in China for Tanzanian Students 2018

Applications are invited from committed, motivated and qualified Tanzanians to apply for postgraduate studies in the one of China’s best Oil and Gas Universities – the China University of Geo-sciences (Wuhan).

Field of Study: Sponsorship will be in the fields of oil and gas.

Eligibility: 

• Applicants must be a citizen of United Republic of Tanzania and be in good health;
• Applicants must be holders of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations and Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from recognized universities;
• The age limits for Bachelor, Master’s and PhD applicants should not be older than 25, 35 and 40 years respectively; and
• Applicant once awarded scholarship, will not be allowed to decline for any reasons.

Number of Awards: Twenty (20)

Value of Award: Applicants will be required to pay for a ticket to China; other costs will be paid by the Government of China including return ticket;

Duration of Program: Duration of candidate’s course

How to Apply:

• Interested applicants should write a letter of application to The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy in which they should state their academic and practical background in the fields of oil and gas; level of studies they wish to pursue (Bachelor, Masters or PhD); why they should be offered the scholarship; and how they will use their knowledge for the benefit of the nation.
• The candidates can download all the materials needed for the applications on the official website of China Scholarship Council http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or http://www.campuschina.org
• Apply online for the scholarship through http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org not later than 25th March, 2018.

Applications must be attached with:

1. Two copies of application forms printed from online applications;
2. Copies of Form IV and VI National Examination Certificates;
3. Two photocopies of academic transcripts of the most advanced studies (notarized photocopy);
4. Two original sets of Letter of Recommendation;
5. Two photocopies of Diploma of the most advanced studies (notarized photocopy);
6. Two photocopies of Foreigner Physical Examination Form;
7. Two photocopies of Blood Test Report;
8. Two copies of Study Plan or Research Proposal in English ( a minimum of 200 words for under graduate, 800 words for post graduate);
9. Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China;
10. Two copies of Birth Certificate;
11. Reliable contacts: postal address and telephone numbers;
12. Copies of Form IV and VI National Examination Certificates;
13. A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV); and
14. One recent passport size photograph.

• Testimonials/ provisional results/ statements of results will not be accepted.
• Applicants who are employed in the Public Service should route their applications through their respective employers; and
• Any application without relevant documents shall not be considered.
• Applicants who were awarded China Scholarship in 2016 and declined the opportunity should not apply these scholarships because they will not be considered.
