Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a public research university which is located in Brisbane, Australia. The QUT was founded in 1989 and has two campuses which are, Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses. The Gardens point campus includes the Gardens Cultural Precinct, QUT Art Museum, the William Robinson Gallery, as well as food and retail outlets, a fitness centre, and a swimming pool. In the Kelvin Grove campus, there is located the QUT Health Clinics, where students have the opportunity to work with real patients under the supervision of professionals. There are also courses in optometry, podiatry, clinical physiology, psychology and counseling, social work, nutrition and dietetics. The campus also offers a fitness club and aquatic centre with a gymnasium, 25-meter pool and indoor sports stadium, as well as tennis courts and sports fields. Scholarships at Queensland University of Technology

QUT MPhil Scholarship: the masters of philosophy Scholarship is fully funded at QUT. The scholarship covers the tuition fees, accommodation and other living allowances for the three years duration of the Master’s program in the university. International students who are successfully considered are offered full tuition waivers at QUT together with OSCH. The scholarship program is available to all nationals from various countries all over the world. For the MPhil postgraduate program at QUT, any successful candidate is granted $27,596 per year for the three years duration of the program.

Triple Crown Scholarship at QUT:  this scholarship is awarded by Queensland University of Technology. The scholarship is awarded to international students of various nationals who are enrolled either for undergraduate or postgraduate studies at QUT. The number of scholarships offered by this institution varies each year. This scholarship award covers up to 25% of the tuition fees of the first year of the program.

Eligibility Criteria for the Triple Crown Scholarship

  • Applicants must have completed a qualifying course from any country outside Australia.
  • Applicants must meet the minimum English language requirements for admission to the degree programme
  • Applicants must have demonstrated excellent academic performance in their past studies

QUT Equity Scholarship: this scholarship scheme is meant for students from low-income backgrounds and has no access to financial supports. The scholarship is available both at the undergraduate Bachelor’s degree level and also postgraduate levels. This scholarship is awarded annually with up to $5,000.

Fees and Cost Of Study

The cost of study in QUT varies depending on the courses you enroll for. Some courses may have extra costs for equipment, practical training, and field trips. Each semester, students would need to pay the student services and amenities (SA) fees and this fees are based on the units or courses the student is enrolled in. Although, the maximum fee is about $308. The services amenities fee goes toward non-academic university services, like health and welfare, employment and career advice, and enriching campus culture. It is worthy of note, that International students don’t need to pay Services amenities fees.
