Students entering direct-entry degree programmes will be considered automatically for these awards—distributed between the Colleges of Agriculture and Bioresources, Arts and Science, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Kinesiology, and Edwards School of Business—based on admission average.

Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships
Highest valued, renewable scholarships based on academics, leadership, and community contributions. Includes Circle of Honour Awards for Indigenous students.
- George and Marsha Ivany President’s First & Best Scholarships – $40,000 ($10,000/year)
- Chancellors’ Scholarships – $30,000 ($7,500/year)
- University of Saskatchewan Entrance Scholarships – $30,000 ($7,500/year)
- Edwards Undergraduate Scholarships – $36,000 ($9,000/year)
- College of Agriculture & Bioresources – Tollefson Scholarships – $24,000 ($6,000/year)
Competitive Entrance Awards
- Numerous scholarships and bursaries recognising academics, financial need, and community contributions.

Transfer Awards
- Automatic consideration for students transferring from other institutions.
- Scholarship values:
- 85%+ average → $2,000
- 80–84.9% → $1,500
- 78–79.9% → $1,000
- Top transfer student from select institutions → $2,500.
Off‑Campus Awards
Students at USask off‑campus sites (Prince Albert, Great Plains College, North West College, Northlands College, St Peter’s College, and Suncrest College) are eligible for USask awards and regional college awards.
Special Awards
- Saskatchewan Youth from Care Bursary – Covers tuition, fees, living costs, books, plus $1,000 in the first year.
How to Apply
- Apply for admission by the relevant deadline (Dec 1 or Feb 15).
- Submit scholarship applications via PAWS (Best and Brightest by Dec 15; Competitive Awards by Mar 1).
- Upload supporting documents by Mar 1.
- Watch email for award offers (starting late April).
