Erasmus Mundus EMINEP Scholarship Details:

The Erasmus Mundus EMINEP Scholarship (European Master for Industry in Microwave Electronics and Photonics) is a new project funded by the European Union for the period going from 01.09.2023 to 31.10.2029.

The new master will bring some new initiatives and activities compared to EMIMEO. Indeed, the program committee is still going on to increase the quality of the teaching program for the students and strengthen the connection with industries and research institutes.

The project’s partners are the University of Limoges (UNILIM, France), the University of Brescia (UNIBS, Italy), the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU, Spain), and the Abbe School of Photonics at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena (FSUJena, Germany).  The consortium is waiting for approval from the Erasmus+ Agency.

Requirements for the Erasmus Mundus EMINEP Scholarship

To be considered for the EMINEP/Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, you must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Possess a bachelor’s diploma in electronic engineering, telecommunication engineering, photonics, or applied physics.
  • The applicants might have solid bases in signal processing, electromagnetism, telecommunications, embedded systems, analog and digital electronics, the propagation of electromagnetic waves, and the principle of photonics.
  • Moreover, the applicant might submit the final grade of the bachelor’s program. For instance, applicants can convert their grade through the enic-naric recognition convention.
  • Possess previous professional experience (industrial internships, academic projects, summer jobs) and/or research experience.

Benefits of the Erasmus Mundus EMINEP Scholarship 2024

  • The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship student will receive 1400 euros each month during the full duration of the program (a maximum of 24 months).
  • The scholarship will cover travel, visa costs, and the living allowance. 
  • In addition, EMIMEP will provide health and travel insurance to the students during the full period of their studies. 
  • Finally, EMIMEP will also cover all the tuition fees during the duration of the studies for the students.

Required Documents for the Erasmus Mundus EMINEP Scholarship

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents:

  • Letter of motivation in English Writing a personal essay to demonstrate the applicant’s motivation and his or her ability to write clearly and concisely;
  • Certified copies of the high school or secondary school certificate;
  • Certified copies of bachelor’s degrees and transcripts until the application date;
  • Copy of passport or ID.
  • CV;
  • Self-declaration of honors about the proof of residence
  • Test report or certificate of English language proficiency.
  • Three reference letters, one of them from a non-academic referee, attest to basic competencies and practical experience.
  • The reference letters shall include any proof of recognition of the referee (LinkedIn ID, Google Scholar ID, or any proof online).
  • Proofs of employment (employment certificates or internships) for the last 5 years by the deadline of the student scholarship application.
