Responsibilities

  • Help create and disseminate knowledge resources and peer-to-peer learning across global youth networks
  • Work closely with the GenU Programme Team and external partners
  • Conduct research on emerging trends and issues relevant to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and global solutions
  • Provide administrative and logistical support, including organizing meetings and maintaining documentation

Eligibility Requirements

  • Have the UNICEF internship eligibility requirements
  • Be enrolled in or have just completed a graduate academic programme in international relations, political science, education, business, monitoring and evaluation, entrepreneurship, or another relevant field
  • Have interest and/or experience in youth development or engagement, public policy, international development, and initiatives including adolescents and youth in development or humanitarian contexts
  • Have some first work or volunteer experience in youth engagement and/or programmatic work in countries
  • Demonstrated interest in at least one of GenU’s programme hubs
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset
  • Participation and/or engagement in youth advisory bodies for youth-centric organizations is an asset

Skills Preferred: Strong writing skills; ability to synthesise and craft concept notes and compelling pitch decks; knowledge of research, qualitative data analysis, visualisation, and knowledge management preferred.
