The Trevor Noah Foundation is accepting applications for the 3rd cohort of its Education Changemakers Program in East and Central Africa. This fellowship targets young leaders working in education and combines in-person leadership training with post-program support.
Selected participants will attend four weeks of immersive training in Nairobi, Kenya. After that, they will receive six months of support through coaching, mentoring, and access to small grants for school-based initiatives.

About this Program
The Education Changemakers Program (ECM) supports young leaders who are working in or with the primary and secondary education sector. It is designed for participants from East and Central Africa who want to improve education outcomes in their communities.
The program starts with four weeks of in-person leadership training in Nairobi. Then, participants continue with six months of post-training support. This support includes mentoring, coaching, and opportunities to access small grants for school-based initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be aged 18–35
- Be from one of the 14 eligible East and Central African countries
- Be actively working in or with the primary or secondary education sector
- Demonstrate commitment to improving education outcomes
- Be proficient in English
- Be a first-time applicant and not an alumnus of YALI RLC or Mandela Washington Fellowship
- Commit to the full in-person training and post-program engagement
