Tell Me About The COP30 Simulation Fellowship:
The COP30 Simulation Fellowship is a prestigious, immersive, and certified program organized by The British University in Egypt (BUE) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Egypt, in collaboration with global academic institutions and international climate stakeholders. This program brings together passionate university students from around the world to simulate real COP30 sessions, engage with chief negotiators, and draft youth-driven climate declarations presented at the actual COP30 conference in Brazil. It is more than just a simulation, it’s a youth-led movement aimed at driving real climate impact locally and globally.

Who can Apply for the COP30 Simulation Fellowship?
Applicants must be university students who are passionate about climate action and eager to participate in an international, policy-driven, and solution-oriented youth climate movement.
How are Applicants Selected?
Applicants are selected based on their passion for climate advocacy, ability to collaborate internationally, and commitment to the program’s objectives. Selected participants will engage in capacity-building and policy drafting and represent various roles during the simulation.

Where will the Award be Taken?
The program breakdown is as follows:
- Online Capacity Building Program (Mid-July 2025)
- Simulation Conference: The British University in Egypt (Sep/Oct 2025)
- COP30 Conference: Brazil (10โ21 November 2025)
How Many Awards?
Around 150 students will be selected to participate in the Simulation Conference in Egypt. From this pool, approximately 20 students will be chosen to present their outcomes at COP30 in Brazil.
