Tell Me About The Hokkaido University MEXT Scholarship:
The Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship [University Recommendation – Special Selection] supports international students enrolling in the Graduate Program for Environmental Conservation Leadership for Post SDGs at Hokkaido University, starting in October 2025. This scholarship covers tuition, and travel expenses, and provides a monthly allowance for selected Master’s and Doctoral students.

International students with outstanding academic achievements who wish to pursue a Master’s or Doctoral degree at the Graduate School of Environmental Science, Hokkaido University. Applicants must maintain a GPA of 2.30/3.00 or higher and meet specific language proficiency requirements.
How are Applicants Selected?:
Applicants are evaluated based on academic achievements, GPA, language proficiency, and agreement with a prospective supervisor. Internal screening is conducted, and successful candidates are nominated by the university.
