The Seoul National University President Fellowship (SPF) is one of SNU’s most prestigious funding opportunities. It is designed for university lecturers and researchers from developing countries who wish to pursue a PhD degree at SNU. Unlike conventional scholarships, SPF specifically targets teaching and instructional staff, aiming to strengthen higher education systems globally by equipping educators with advanced research expertise.

Which Fields are Eligible?

  • All PhD programs offered at Seoul National University.
  • Applicants must first secure admission into an eligible doctoral program.

Applicants must:

  • Be teaching or instructional staff at a recognized university in a developing country.

    • Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Research Professor, Lecturer, Instructor, Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant.
  • Expected Master’s graduates may apply if they have at least six months of university teaching/research experience.
