Who Can Apply

Applicants must:

  • Be indigenes of one of the 9 Niger Delta states: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, Rivers.
  • Be at least 16 years old.
  • For undergraduate track:
    • Sat the 2026 UTME or already admitted into 100‑level for 2026/27.
    • Hold O’Level WAEC/NECO with 5 credits including English & Mathematics.
    • Provide UTME result slip and Local Government Area identification letter.
  • For postgraduate track:
    • Hold relevant degree and NYSC certificate.
  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.0 each session to keep funding.

How Are Scholars Selected

  • Four stages: eligibility check → document preparation → online submission → final selection.
  • Successful candidates notified and must maintain academic standards to remain funded.
