The ECOSOC Youth Forum is the annual youth forum of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. It serves as a platform bringing together young people globally to engage in discussions on the 2030 Agenda. Participants contribute to policy discussions regarding Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through their ideas, solutions, and innovations. The forum is closely linked with key UN processes and events under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Who can Apply?
The 2024 ECOSOC Youth Forum is convened by the President of ECOSOC and co-organized by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the UN Youth Office, in collaboration with the United Nations Inter Agency Network on Youth Development (IANYD), the Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY) and the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organizations (ICMYO), with technical input from youth organizations relevant to the theme of the forum.
Youth leaders from around the world will have the opportunity to engage with government representatives, youth delegates, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders in civil society and the private sector.
Where will Award be Taken?
- The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation.
- The live event will be held in UN Headquarters, New York
- It will consist of opening and closing plenary sessions with representatives from youth organizations and high-level speakers.
- Youth speakers will deliver short presentations between sessions, sharing personal stories and innovative solutions related to the SDGs.

To Apply as a Speaker
- A few spots are available for youth to participate as speakers at different sessions of the forum.
- Funding is available for a limited number of participants (currently 5 funded spots, with efforts to expand).

- The selection process will involve youth constituencies co-designing the sessions.
