Moreover, with the focus on impact-driven business models, it raises the question; Are these models sustainable in the Nigerian context?

Therefore, the program ‘Fund it Forward’ looks to provide the answer by giving young Nigerian entrepreneurs the opportunity to make positive changes in the African business community.

About the Contestants:

This competition will feature 12 social entrepreneurs, aged 20 to 35, who run early-stage social enterprise businesses. The show’s aim is to drive change in Nigeria by developing contestants’ own businesses while educating viewers on how to successfully set-up a change-making enterprise themselves.

What’s more, they have to do well in eight tough rounds. Each week, the contestants will face real-world challenges that show the reality and stages of building a mission-driven business.

Furthermore, the judges are looking for people who have new ideas, passion, and skills to make a difference. The viewers will also witness the growth of these contestants each week as well as learn from them.

The pressure is on as they vie for the chance to secure significant grant funding and invaluable mentorship from esteemed socialpreneurs.

The top 3 winners will receive monetary grant prizes, exceptional business training opportunities and mentorship, and all 12 contestants will have access to an extensive network of experts and changemakers.

Again, the competition will feature 12 passionate social entrepreneurs, aged between 20 and 35. These contestants must have embarked on early-stage social enterprise ventures. These driven individuals will have the chance to demonstrate their innovative ideas and business acumen as they compete in a series of challenges specifically designed to elevate and evaluate their budding ventures.

“Nigeria has one of the world’s largest youth populations, with about 70% of the country’s population being under 30. Here we have a huge potential economic driver, if we can just tap into the entrepreneurial and problem-solving spirit that is so evident in young Nigerians.

The Channels Media Group has social impact and empowerment in its very DNA, so we wanted to play our part in motivating the youth in an entertaining but informative way. We thought, Why not give young, mission-driven entrepreneurs a real helping hand and educate and inspire them? Our viewers on the ins and outs of socially motivated business at the same time?”

says Zemmy Momoh, Executive Producer of ‘Fund It Forward’ and Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Impact Programming Director at Channels Media Group.
