Tell Me About African Academy of Sciences (AAS) Honorary Fellowship:

The African Academy of Sciences (AAS) recognises excellence by electing scholars who have outstanding achievements in their fields of expertise and have made significant contributions to the advancement of the field on the African continent. Fellows of The AAS are elected based on these achievements that include their publication record, innovations, leadership roles and contribution to society. The AAS Fellowship has three categories of recognition: Fellows, Associate Fellows and Honorary Fellows.

Honorary Fellows are eminent members of society who have made significant contribution to the vision of the Academy. They are nominated by a minimum of three Fellows and/or Associate Fellows of the AAS. The Governance and Nominations sub-committees shall review the nominations before the candidates are directly elected by the Governing Council.
