The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory is pleased to announce a call of new applications for the Postgraduate Scholarship for Funding for the 2022 Academic year

Application Deadline: 6th August 2021

Eligible Field(s):

  • Honours: Physics and Electronics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Computer Science, National Astrophysics and Space Science Programme (NASSP)
  • Masters: Students who wish to pursue postgraduate-level research relevant to the scientific and technical goals of the SKA and MeerKAT radio telescopes – see section 2 of the application guide for details
  • Doctoral: Students who wish to pursue postgraduate-level research relevant to the scientific and technical goals of the SKAand MeerKAT radio telescopes – see section 2 of the application guide for details

Type: Postgraduate (Honours, Masters and Doctoral)

Eligibility: SA Citizen or Permanent Residence or citizen of SADC country

Eligible Countries:

  • Honours: SA Citizen or Permanent Residence
  • Masters: South African citizens and permanent residents, AND citizens of Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar,
    Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia
  • Doctoral: South African citizens and permanent residents, AND citizens of Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia
