The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) at Wageningen University & Research (WUR) offers talented and motivated students from Africa the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree starting in September 2027. The programme supports capacity building in Africa by training excellent students who will contribute to development in their home countries.
Which Fields are Eligible
All WUR MSc programmes are eligible, provided applicants meet admission requirements and unconditional admission is granted.

Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of an African country.
- Submit a complete MSc application before 1 December 2026.
- Be unconditionally admitted to a WUR MSc programme.
- Hold a First Class Honours Bachelor’s degree with GPA ≥ 80%.
- Meet WUR’s English language requirements before the deadline.
- Preferably not already hold a Master’s degree.
How Are Scholars Selected
- Selection coordinated by the WU Scholarship Selection Committee.
- Shortlisted applicants informed in March–April 2027.
- Final recipients chosen via a lottery among shortlisted candidates.
- Scholarship offers made on 7 April 2027; others placed on a waiting list.

- Limited number awarded annually; highly competitive.

- Full tuition fee coverage (24 months).

- 2 years (full MSc programme duration).
