The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is accepting nominations for the Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group (IPAG) 2027–2030 term. This call seeks Indigenous Peoples representatives for two regional vacancies: one from Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and one from the Pacific.
IPAG members serve on a voluntary basis. In addition, members are expected to attend two in-person meetings each year and join monthly online meetings during the four-year term.

About this Program
The Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group supports engagement between Indigenous Peoples and the Green Climate Fund and its partners. For this call, GCF is seeking nominations to fill two vacancies for the 2027–2030 term.
Nominations must come from Indigenous Peoples’ institutions, bodies, or organizations. This also includes networks and regional Indigenous Peoples’ caucuses.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominees should be Indigenous Peoples representatives from developing States where GCF may fund activities.
- Nominations should be submitted by Indigenous Peoples’ institutions, bodies or organizations, including networks and regional Indigenous Peoples’ caucuses.
- The working language of GCF is English.
- If no eligible nomination is received from a listed region, the Secretariat may consider eligible nominations from underrepresented sub-regions or groups, consistent with IPAG advice.
What Fellows Receive: Voluntary, non-remunerated membership. Travel-related arrangements for required in-person participation may be supported in accordance with applicable GCF policies and procedures.
Program Components: Serve as an IPAG member for the 2027–2030 term; attend two in-person meetings each year; be available for monthly online meetings and additional online meetings as required; enhance coordination between Indigenous Peoples and the Green Climate Fund and its partners.

Applicants should prepare the nomination materials required by GCF. These include:
- Name and contact details of the nominating Indigenous Peoples’ institution, body or organization, including region
- Full name and contact details of the nominee, including email and telephone number
- Confirmation from the head or designated focal point of the nominating institution that the nominee is formally nominated or endorsed
- Statement showing how the nominee meets the criteria and factors outlined in the TORs
- Short CV or biography highlighting relevant experience and contributions
- Endorsements from other Indigenous Peoples’ institutions, bodies or organizations in the region are highly encouraged
