Compensation: Expected base pay rates for the role will be $36.06 per hour at the commencement of employment. Base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

About the Internship
The program is designed for sophomore students who want early exposure to investment management. First, participants complete one week of training. Then, they spend nine weeks working with the Tactical Value team in New York.
During the internship, analysts support private credit and equity work. They also build practical skills in research, qualitative analysis, financial modeling, presentation, and project management. According to the official description, the program is primarily a learning and growth opportunity and does not necessarily correlate with full-time offers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diligence on investment opportunities with senior members of the fund
- Coordinate with advisors and consultants on due diligence items
- Construct company financial forecast and valuation models
- Execute other investment-related tasks, including tracking prospective deals and helping negotiate confidentiality agreements
- Contribute to investment memoranda
- Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies
- Keep current with market developments and new investment products
- Develop public speaking, research, qualitative analysis, modeling, presentation, and project management skills
