The Brand South Africa | Play Your Part Bursary is open to young South African active citizens who want to attend the 2026 One Young World Summit in Cape Town. Importantly, the application deadline is 2 September 2026.
Through this opportunity, six selected participants will receive support to attend the summit from 3 to 6 November 2026. In addition, the bursary includes summit access and other leadership benefits. Travel and accommodation are provided as required, but they are not provided for candidates based in Cape Town.

About this Scholarship
Brand South Africa, in partnership with One Young World, is offering six fully funded bursaries for young South Africans. The bursary supports participation in the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3 to 6 November 2026.
According to the official page, three bursaries are reserved for candidates based in Cape Town. Meanwhile, three bursaries are open to applicants from across South Africa.
Eligibility
- Be aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026.
- Be a South African national or resident.
- Demonstrate a commitment to active citizenship and contributing to positive change in South Africa.
- Have a track record of using time, money, skills, or goods to benefit their community or society.
- Show an understanding of key local and/or global issues facing South Africa.
Number of Awards: 6 bursaries (3 for Cape Town residents, 3 open to applicants across South Africa)
Value of Award: Fully funded bursary including access to the One Young World Summit 2026, travel and accommodation as required, specified catering, access to the One Young World Global Leadership Programme and Action Accelerator, and lifetime membership of the One Young World Ambassador Community
