Applications are open for the 2026 ViiV Healthcare Positive Action Funding Opportunities, with the current application window closing on 5 July 2026. This funding supports community-led and community-based organisations working on HIV. In particular, the current round invites Momentum proposals that address stigma and discrimination in selected eligible countries.

Positive Action offers two funding streams. First, Innovator Funding supports organisations that want to pilot a new approach. Meanwhile, Momentum Funding supports organisations ready to scale evidence-based interventions they have successfully delivered.

About the Grant

ViiV Healthcare’s Positive Action programme funds organisations that respond to HIV through community-led action. The programme prioritises localisation, equitable partnerships, and interventions that can continue beyond the funding period.

According to the official page, Innovator Funding is designed for piloting new approaches that are new to the applicant. In contrast, Momentum Funding is for scaling interventions that already have evidence of effectiveness and have been delivered before by the applicant.

The funding is targeted to community-based organisations operating in the listed eligible countries. In addition, applicants can access webinars and guidance notes during the application process.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be non-governmental and community-based organisations.
  • Locally led and community-led organisations are prioritised.
  • For Momentum Funding, the applicant must have previously delivered the proposed approach and have evidence of effectiveness.
  • For Innovator Funding, the proposed approach must be new to the applicant, although it may have been delivered elsewhere.
  • Applicants should focus on disproportionately impacted populations, including LGBTQI+ people, men who have sex with men, sex workers, people who use drugs, people with disabilities, women and girls, and displaced or migrant populations.
  • Applications must be submitted in English.
