About this Program

Eligibility Criteria

  • No professional work experience required; demonstrated research experience and interest in AI, emerging technologies, international peace and security, disarmament and UN work is an asset
  • Computer literate in standard software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds

What Fellows Receive: A stipend is offered as a contribution to living expenses (remote, USD 750/month; in-person, USD 1500 per month). Remote or in-person placement in Geneva is available. There is also a possibility of extension after six months. If a selected candidate already receives a stipend from another source, UNIDIR may top it up to the stated amount.

Program Components
Key duties include supporting the Cyber Policy Portal and AI Policy Portal, helping resolve technical issues, drafting official correspondence, creating infographics and promotional materials, supporting communications, attending meetings and conferences, and contributing to coordination and administrative tasks.
