The 7th Coordinated Call (2026) invites proposals in six thematic areas, requiring consortia of at least three BRICS countries. Projects will run for 3 years starting in early 2027.

Projects can be submitted in six thematic areas, each with subtopics:
- Water Resources – monitoring, treatment/reuse, resilience to hazards.
- High Performance Computing & AI – infrastructure co-design, large language models, quantum computing.
- Energy – solar technologies, smart renewable systems, low-carbon pathways.
- Health, Biotechnology & Biomedicine – genomics, personalized medicine, digital health.
- Food – climate-resilient crops, precision agriculture, sustainable fisheries.
- Materials Science – smart materials, energy conversion/storage, nanomaterials & biomaterials.
