The African Leadership Centre (ALC) is pleased to announce a call for applications for its Peace, Security & Development Fellowships and Associate Fellowships for the academic year 2026/2027.

Who can Apply?

1. African Scholars Fellowship (Degree Awarding):

  • Young African scholars affiliated with academic/research institutions.
  • Must hold a Master’s, MBA, or PhD.
  • Committed to advancing peace, security, and development.

2. Sudanese Women Fellowship (Non-Degree):

  • Female citizens of Sudan residing in the Horn of Africa.
  • Proven activism/leadership in women’s rights, peace, and security.

3. Associate Fellowship Bursaries (African Students – Degree Awarding):

  • African students applying for MSc Global Leadership & Peacebuilding at King’s College London.
  • Full-time study only.

4. Associate Fellowship Bursaries (Global South – Degree Awarding):

  • Students from the Global South applying for MSc Global Leadership & Peacebuilding at King’s College London.
  • Full-time study only.

How are Candidates Selected?

  • Based on academic merit, leadership potential, commitment to ALC values, and relevance of proposed research.
  • Shortlisted candidates may attend interviews (e.g., Sudanese Women Fellowship interviews in Nairobi, June 2026).

  • African Scholars Fellowship: All African countries.
  • Sudanese Women Fellowship: Sudanese women in the Horn of Africa.
  • Associate Fellowships: African students or Global South students depending on bursary type.
