The Workshop Engineer supports the Workshop Supervisor in technical and quality‑related aspects of repair, service, and maintenance activities. This role is part of PED’s long‑term plan to build strong local engineering capacity and develop future Workshop Supervisors and Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Technical support: Assist in repair, service, and maintenance activities.
  • Work order review: Identify repair methods, tools, and materials.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide engineering assistance in diagnostics and alternative solutions.
  • Inspection: Conduct in‑process and final inspections to ensure quality and safety.
  • Reporting: Document inspection results and report deviations or failures.
  • Condition‑Based Maintenance: Support CBM implementation and monitor performance indicators.
  • Knowledge transfer: Guide mechanics, electricians, and technicians.
  • Safety enforcement: Ensure compliance with PED safety guidelines.
