  1. Africa Geographic Photography Contest of the Year 2020

The contest involves entries of African wildlife, landscapes and culture. Entries must encompass the celebration of Africa.

Entries for the competition are submitted online or via Instagram, using the hashtag #AfricaGeoPhoto

  1. CAP Prize for the Contemporary African Photography

The CAP Prize contest is open to all Africans, irrespective of age or descent. The work must engage with an African continent or its diaspora.

For the prize, 25 artists will be shortlisted and five out of them will be awarded the CAP Prize of the year.

  1. The Young African Photo Contest

The contest is open to everyone who is 25 years and below and also has an Instagram account. Participants must be residents in Africa.

Participants are advised to post a photo that depicts the theme: “African Child Today” with the hashtag #youngafricanphoto.

Participants can post as many photos as possible and hold the copyright for each photo.

  1. African Photo Awards

The African Photo Awards are non-profit photo competition with a theme: “Showcase your African Photography”.

The aim is to create a collaborative competition among photographers which challenges them in styles, levels and approaches to photography.

There are several awards up to R100,000 in totality.

  1. African Photo Competition

The competition is an initiative of Agility, a leading provider of integrated logistics. They are looking for images that could capture the vibrant and modern African reality.

Each competitor stands the chance to win $4000. There are different categories; each category will win a prize of $2000 and the grand prize winner will be awarded $2000. The categories are in the areas of industry, technology and cities.

  1. CGAP Photo and Video Contest

CGAP seeks photos and videos from Africa with the following captions:

  • Reaching Excluded People
  • Brighter Prospects for Young People
  • Digital Finance and Development.

The top photographs depicting Africa in its poverty state and why financial inclusion matters, in vivid and memorable ways, will receive prizes and awards.

  1. Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year

The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year is now open to eligible photographers. There would be exciting pictures of cooking, farming, harvesting, eating, and so on, that tell great stories to the delight of all.

The prize of the contest includes a cash prize of £5,000GBP and the title of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year, and other amazing prizes.

The contest is open to both professional and amateur photographers from any part of the world.

  1. ND AWARDS

The elevated ND AWARDS is one of the world’s most outstanding and talented photography contests. It is a contest that instantly exposes the winner to world recognition, prestige and publicity.

The award of the contest is up to the tune of $7,500. The contest is open to all photographers anywhere in the world.

  1. Emergence International Photography Exhibition

The competition takes place in Glasgow Gallery of photography for over five years. All participants are encouraged to send in their special or favorite image they have taken which means a lot to them.

Entry is free, but chosen photographers will be required to pay a participation fee of £20.

  1. CWA Photo Competition

Current World Archeology invites participants to send in their best archeological photos from any world location outside the UK. The competition is free to all nationals. Participants can submit up to five high-resolution images with an archeological theme and details of the site of the photographed artefact.

Three winners and the winning images will stand the chance to be featured in CWA and exhibited at the CA Live!
