The Honjo International Scholarship Foundation (HISF) offers one of Japan’s most prestigious scholarships for international Master’s and PhD students. Unlike many Japanese scholarships requiring university nomination, HISF allows direct applications from students worldwide, even from outside Japan, provided they have secured admission to a Japanese graduate school.
