The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is the University of Toronto’s most prestigious award for international students. It recognizes exceptional academic achievement, creativity, and leadership potential, while supporting students who are committed to making a positive impact on their communities and the world.
Which Fields are Eligible?
- The scholarship applies to undergraduate programs at the University of Toronto.
- Students may apply to up to three programs, but the scholarship will be restricted to the top choice program at the time of award.

Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be international students requiring a study permit.
- Be in their final year of secondary school in 2026/27, or have graduated no earlier than June 2026.
- Begin studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027.
- Be nominated by their high school (only one student per school can be nominated each year).
- Not already enrolled in post-secondary studies, nor starting post-secondary studies in January 2027.
How are applicants selected?
Selection is based on:
