The Prof. Stefan Banach NAWA Scholarship Programme 2026, offered by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), has formally begun. It is a transformative opportunity for gifted students from developing nations to pursue a *second-cycle (Master’s) degree in Poland beginning in the winter semester of the 2025โ€“2026 academic year.

Which Fields are Eligible?

All fields offered by Polish public universities supervised by the Minister of Science and Higher Education that have agreements with NAWA. Applicants select from the universityโ€™s available programs.

Type:

Fully funded scholarship for full-time second-cycle Masterโ€™s degree studies or a one-year preparatory language course (if studying in Polish).

Who can Apply?

  • Citizens of eligible developing countries
  • Final semester bachelorโ€™s students or graduates from 2023 onward
  • No previous Masterโ€™s degree or NAWA scholarship recipients
  • Language proficiency: Polish A2 (prep course), Polish B2 (direct studies), or English B2 (studies in English)

How are Applicants Selected?

Selection is managed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange based on submitted applications in their online system. University admission is handled independently by the applicant.

Where will the Award be Taken?

At Polish public universities approved and supervised by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, including top institutions such as Jagiellonian University, University of Warsaw, AGH University of Krakow, and others.

The call is open until 300 applications are received per country group or until the deadline, whichever comes first.
