Tell Me About The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation Fellowship Programme:

The AIG Fellowship Programme offers outstanding public servants who have made significant contributions to their home countries an opportunity to deepen their understanding of critical public policy challenges across Africa. Fellows engage in up to six months of study, reflection, and collaboration at the University of Oxfordโ€™s Blavatnik School of Government. During this period, they develop policy papers and briefs, and share their insights through workshops or lectures, thereby capturing and disseminating best practices in public service.

Who can Apply for the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation Fellowship Programme?

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Must hold a senior leadership position (Director General or Chief Executive Officer level) in the public service.
  • Minimum of six years of service before mandatory retirement.
  • Demonstrated measurable impact in public service delivery within the past five years, with quantifiable evidence of reforms or improvements.
  • Experience overseeing strategic initiatives in at least one eligible sector and managing cross-functional collaboration.
  • Minimum of a masterโ€™s degree or equivalent professional qualification, with evidence of continuous professional development in the last three years.
  • Formal endorsement from a respected Public Sector Leader (e.g., Head of Civil Service, Minister, Governor).
  • Clean ethical standing with no pending disciplinary actions and must pass security clearance

  • Their leadership role and strategic influence in public service.
  • Documented impact and successful reforms implemented.
  • Academic qualifications and continuous professional development.
  • Ethical record and formal organizational endorsement.
