Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 Embassy of France Master’s scholarships for Ugandan Students. The Embassy of France in Uganda offers a scholarship, designed for young Ugandan students who already possess a Bachelor degree in one of the concerned fields and who want to pursue their Master’s degree studies in in France, in a French Public university, either in French or English language.

Who can Apply for Embassy of France Master’s scholarships for Ugandan students?

  • Be a Ugandan citizen;
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in the concerned areas before the call closes;
  • Study French subject in the frame of your studies.

How Are Applicants Selected?

15th – 30th June: The applications will first be examined by the Embassy. Preselected candidates will be contacted for interviews.
15th July 2025: Results will be sent. All candidates will receive an update about their application.

What is the Benefit of Embassy of France Master’s scholarships for Ugandan students?

  • The Master’s in France scholarship covers round-trip international airfare between Uganda and France, full tuition fees, visa fee waivers, and the CVEC fee.
  • Recipients will receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, as well as health insurance (70% covered by the French government and 30% by Campus France).
  • The scholarship also provides priority access to subsidized student housing, assistance with administrative procedures throughout the stay, and opportunities to participate in cultural activities and networking events.

How to Apply:

Documents needed:

  • Cover letter;
  • Copy of an identity document;
  • Copy of the Bachelor degree.
  • Proof of application to or admission from a recognized French public university (admission letter or application confirmation).

The candidate must find the university and begin the process of admission before applying for this scholarship.

A proof of University admission will be required in order to complete the selection process.

The complete applications must be electronically submitted as ONE PDF File attachment before 15th June 2025 at midnight to: Louise BAY, Cooperation Attachée for Culture and Education, Embassy of France, email: [email protected]. You will receive an email confirming that your application has been received.

Be aware that any delayed or incomplete application will not be examined.
