The World Fellows Program at Yale University is a prestigious leadership development fellowship for mid‑career professionals. It brings together 20 rising global leaders from diverse sectors and countries to live in residence at Yale, engage in intensive learning, and contribute to the university community. Fellows sharpen their leadership, expand their networks, and generate insights about transforming systems and addressing global challenges.

Who can Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Be 5–25 years into their professional careers.
  • Have a record of significant achievement and integrity.
  • Show commitment to positive impact at local, national, or international levels.
  • Demonstrate future leadership promise and global impact potential.
  • Possess critical, creative, entrepreneurial, and strategic thinking capacity.
  • Be fluent in English.
  • Be citizens of countries other than the United States (dual citizens including U.S. are eligible).
  • Be willing to live in residence at Yale for the full program duration.

How are Applicants Selected?

  • Based on demonstrated impact, leadership potential, and alignment with fellowship goals.
  • Nominations are welcomed from anyone (no Yale affiliation required).
  • Self‑nomination is not allowed.

  • Global – all countries except U.S. citizens only (dual citizens eligible).
