The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship was established in 2016 to attract high-caliber international students to enroll in undergraduate or postgraduate study at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. Who can Apply for the University of Auckland International Excellence Scholarship?
The eligibility criteria include:
- International students who are neither citizens, permanent residents, nor resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia
- New students who have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission or an English Language Academy (ELA) student with a conditional or unconditional offer of admission.
- Students enrolled or enrolling in the Summer Start International program, with a conditional or unconditional offer of admission.
- Students must be enrolling full-time in either an undergraduate degree (with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications), PGDip, or master’s program, or specific engineering master’s programs at Waipapa Taumata Rau.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Applications are made to the Scholarships Office.
- A Selection Committee assesses the applications.
- The Scholarship is awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
