Tell Me About The Young Impact Associates in Agrifood Systems Fellowship:

The Young Impact Associates (YIA) Fellowship in Agrifood Systems is a year-long flagship program launched by the Mastercard Foundation in collaboration with its Impact Partner Organizations (IPO), including CIFOR-ICRAF, AWARD, AFIDEP, and Akademiya2063. It is designed to prepare a new generation of African leaders in the field of impact measurement to drive transformative change in Africaโ€™s agrifood systems. The fellowship offers in-depth learning and practical experiences in impact evaluation, research, and consulting. Fellows will gain skills, tools, and networks to influence evidence-based decision-making and promote inclusive, people-centered development across the continent.

Who can Apply for the Young Impact Associates in Agrifood Systems Fellowship?

Also, the eligibility criteria include:

  • Nationals of Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda, residing in Africaย 
  • Must be aged between 18 and 35 yearsย 
  • Engaged in full-time, part-time work, self-employment, studying, or unemployed 3
  • With a good command of both written and spoken Englishย 
  • Have a minimum of a diploma, bachelorโ€™s degree in relevant disciplines, including social sciences, agricultural sciences, economics, data sciences, environmental and climate science, international development, policy and governance, etc.ย 
  • Mission-driven interest and passion for the impact measurement fieldย 
  • Motivation and clear aspirations to leverage data-driven approachesย 
  • Commitment to a 12-month full-time program participation
