Tell Me About The Award:
The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Digital Transformation of Metals Industry (DigitalMetal CDT) offers 14 fully funded PhD studentships to train future leaders in digital manufacturing and metallurgy. The CDT is a collaboration between the University of Leicester (lead), Birmingham, Loughborough, Nottingham, and Warwick.

- Applicants with at least a UK 2:1 BSc or pass at MSc level (or overseas equivalent)
- International students may apply for some projects (check with supervisor)
- EU students with settled/pre-settled status should provide a share code
- Must be able to afford visa costs if applying from outside the UK (~£2,500)
How are Applicants Selected:
Applicants are evaluated based on academic background, eligibility, and alignment with one of the five research themes. Selection also depends on availability of projects for international applicants.
