The DW Akademie and the Tours Public School of Journalism have launched the 2025 French-speaking Master’s in International Journalism (MFJI). This two-year program combines academic and professional training, taking place in Bonn (Germany), Tours (France), and the student’s home country. Designed for media professionals, it offers participants hands-on experience, specialised media training, and an opportunity to strengthen journalism in their home countries. Graduates receive a master’s degree from the University of Tours and a certificate from DW Akademie.

Who can Apply For The DW Akademie 2025 French-speaking Master’s Degree in International Journalism?
Also, the eligibility criteria include:
- Applicants must hold a higher education diploma at bachelor’s level (180 credits or bac+3) or higher, obtained within the last 10 years.
- Preference will be given to graduates in Information and Communication Sciences, though all disciplines are eligible.
- Candidates must have at least one year of professional experience in media or journalism, with internships, volunteering, and similar experiences considered valid (proof required via certificates).
- Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in French at C1 or C2 level, supported by a valid DALF or TCF certificate.
- Exemptions apply to:
- Holders of a French baccalaureate (earned in France or at an AEFE-approved institution).
- Holders of a French higher education diploma earned in France.
- Candidates from French-speaking countries where French is the primary language for education or work.
Knowledge of English at level B1 (independent user) is desirable but not mandatory.
- Candidates without B1 proficiency are encouraged to pursue English language studies before the program begins if selected.
