The QuestBridge National College Match connects high-achieving, low-income high school seniors with full four-year scholarships to 52 top colleges across the United States. The award covers tuition, housing, food, books, supplies, and other expenses.
Which Fields are Eligible?
All undergraduate fields of study offered by QuestBridge’s 52 partner colleges.

Entrance Scholarship for undergraduate studies.
Who can Apply for the National College Match Full Four-Year Scholarship?
- High school seniors, regardless of citizenship, currently attending school in the U.S.
- U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad.
- Students who have excelled academically, typically earning A’s in the most challenging courses available.
- Students from low-income households (typically earning less than $65,000 annually for a family of four).
How are Applicants Selected?
Applications are reviewed holistically, considering academic achievement, financial qualifications, personal qualities, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated interest.
Which Countries Are Eligible?
- High school seniors currently attending high school in the U.S. (including U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, undocumented, and international students).
- U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad.
Where will the Award be Taken?
At any of QuestBridge’s 52 partner colleges in the United States.
How Many Awards?
Approximately 1,500 students receive full scholarships annually through the National College Match.
What is the Benefit of the National College Match Full Four-Year Scholarship?
- Full four-year scholarship, covering all expenses (tuition, fees, housing, food, books, supplies, and travel).
- No parental contribution or student loans required.
How Long Will the Award Last?
Four years, covering the entire duration of the undergraduate program.
Application components
- Information on your academics, activities, household, and financial background
- Writing section
- Two teacher recommendations from core academic subjects
- Current high school transcript and additional transcripts (unofficial transcripts are accepted)
- School Report from your current high school counselor
- School Profile (optional, but recommended)
- Any standardized test score reports to-date (if taken). We accept SAT, ACT, IB, AP, and English language proficiency exam test scores (unofficial test score reports are accepted).
How to Apply for the National College Match Full Four-Year Scholarship:
- Start an application: Begin your free National College Match application in late summer before your senior year.
- Gather materials: Reach out to your recommenders and school counselor, and gather financial documents, a transcript, test scores (if taken), and a School Profile (if available).
- Submit application: Submit your application by the deadline. You have successfully submitted your application when you see a green check mark on your Manage page.
- Rank colleges: Rank up to 15 college partners to be considered for early admission and a full four-year scholarship.
- Finalists notified: If you’re selected as a Finalist, your next step is to submit additional application requirements to each school you ranked by November 1.
- Match Day: In early December, Finalists find out if they matched. Matched? Congrats! You’re admitted early with a full four-year scholarship.Â
- Not matched? It’s okay!: QuestBridge Regular Decision offers you a chance for admission at colleges you ranked, and you can apply to additional college partners that interest you.
