The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) In-Country Scholarship Scheme (ISS) supports Nigerian students pursuing undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD studies in public universities. It is designed to build indigenous human capacity and petroleum technology expertise for Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

Who can Apply?
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must be full-time in a Nigerian public university.
- Must be in 200 level.
- Must have 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO including English & Mathematics.
- Minimum CGPA of 2.4/5.0 (Second Class Lower).
- Must provide admission letter, transcript, certificate of indigeneship, and personal statement (300 words).
Master’s Applicants:
- Full-time admission letter into a public university.
- Minimum 2:2 in oil & gas-related field.
- NYSC certificate/exemption.
- Certificate of indigeneship.
- Personal statement (1,000 words).
PhD Applicants:
- Full-time admission letter into a public university.
- Minimum 2:2 first degree + Merit in Master’s degree in oil & gas-related field.
- NYSC certificate/exemption.
- Certificate of indigeneship.
- PhD research proposal (max 6 pages) relevant to oil & gas industry.
