The Chinese Government Scholarship-Silk Road Scholarship Program is a full scholarship established by the Ministry of Education of China to support Chinese universities in attracting outstanding international students from Belt and Road Countries to study in China. CNU is one of the prestigious universities designated to undertake this program to recruit undergraduate students for studying Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral Programs. This comprehensive scholarship is designed to attract outstanding students from countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, offering them the chance to pursue their academic dreams in one of China’s most prestigious universities.

Who can Apply For The Capital Normal University Silk Road Scholarships 2024

Interested applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship-Silk Road Scholarship Program must meet the following eligibility requirements: 

  • Be a citizen of a Belt and Road country (excluding China) and in good health.
  • Meet the educational and age requirements:
    • For a Bachelor’s degree: Hold a high school diploma and be under 25 years old.
    • For a Master’s degree: Hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
    • For a Doctoral degree: Hold a Master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
  • Demonstrate language proficiency:
    • For Chinese-taught programs: HSK3 score of 180 for Bachelor’s, HSK4 score of 180 for Master’s and Doctoral degrees.
    • For English-taught programs: Valid IELTS or TOEFL scores.
  • Have an excellent academic record and strong research capabilities.
  • Be a new international student or a recent graduate (undergraduate or master’s).
  • Not be receiving any other scholarships from the Chinese government or educational institutions in China.

  • Visit the Study in China website.
  • Click on the “Chinese Government Scholarship Study in China Management Information System” icon.
  • Complete the registration and choose the “Type B” study program category.
  • Fill in the application form and upload the required documents.
  • Use Capital Normal University’s agency number code: 10028.

  • Passport copy (valid beyond September 2024).
  • Notarized highest academic certificate (or expected graduation certificate).
  • Academic transcripts (notarized if not in English).
  • Study plan in China (1,500 words for doctoral, 1,000 words for master’s).
  • Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.
  • Proof of language proficiency (HSK, IELTS, or TOEFL).
