Applications are now open for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Project Grants support community-based initiatives that advance gender equity for women and girls. Interested and qualified applicants can now begin to send in their applications.

The AAUW International Project Grants provide funding for community‑based initiatives that advance gender equity for women and girls. These grants are specifically available to AAUW International Fellowship alumnae, enabling them to apply their academic expertise and leadership skills in their home countries and communities.

Who can Apply?

Applicants must:

Disqualifications:

  • Current AAUW staff, board members, or review panelists.
  • Immediate family of the above.
  • Previous recipients of AAUW grants who already received stipends.

How are Applicants Selected?

  • Competitive review based on project quality, impact, and alignment with AAUW’s mission.
  • Only complete applications meeting eligibility criteria are considered.
  • Review panels of distinguished experts evaluate proposals.

Which Countries Are Eligible?

  • All countries, provided the project is led by AAUW International Fellowship alumnae.

  • Home countries and communities of alumnae worldwide.

How Many Awards?

  • Multiple grants awarded annually, subject to available funds.

  3. Submit application during the Sept 16 – Nov 22, 2024 window.
  4. Await award notification on April 15, 2025.
