1. Fulbright Program (U.S. Department of State)

Students who want to study at universities in the United States should apply for the  Fulbright Foreign Student Program. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is a research program funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in New York. Postgraduate students from eligible countries including Nigeria can apply.

2. Chevening Scholarships (UK Government)

Also, the Chevening Scholarships which is funded by the government of the United Kingdom is open to international students who want to study at universities in the UK. Students who have leadership potential, and a strong academic background, are ambitious, and are willing to pursue a postgraduate degree in the United Kingdom can apply.

3. Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees(Europe)

Furthermore, the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree offers full scholarships to outstanding students. It is however important to note that the scholarship opportunity is open to international students who want to pursue their master’s program at participating universities across Europe.

Further, the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is open to citizens of eligible developing countries who have professional experience and are enthusiastic about their country’s development. 8. Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships (Switzerland)

Every year, the Swiss Confederate awards the Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and other countries. Additionally, young researchers who have completed master’s or PhD degrees or foreign artists holding a bachelor’s degree can apply for the scholarship.

10. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Canada)

Again, the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships is open to international students who want to pursue their master’s degree in social science, humanities, natural sciences, health science, and engineering courses taught in Canadian universities. 

Benefits offered: The scholarship benefits include an annual amount of $50,000 that covers overs living allowances, university fees, and other related expenses.

The Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship is a program is a need-based scholarship program. It is open to students from developing countries to pursue their full-time postgraduate programs at any higher institution of their choice. It was founded by His Highness the Aga Khan. 21. The Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program

22. The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan

In addition, the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan for students from developing Commonwealth countries is funded by the United Kingdom Department for International Development. 26. Meta Fellowship Program

The Meta Fellowship Program is open to full-time PhD students (domestic and international) enrolled during the current academic year and studying computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system architecture, or a related area

Benefits offered: The grant covers two years of paid tuition and fees, a $42,000 annual stipend to cover living costs, different opportunities to engage with Meta researchers, and an invitation to the annual Fellowship Summit.
