The DEA mobility programme allows foreign researchers from all continents to come and carry out their research (fieldwork, library and archive work) in France for periods of 4 to 6 weeks.

Created in 1975, on the initiative of Fernand Braudel in agreement with the State Secretariat for Universities, the “Associate Directors of Studies” (DEA) programme is the Foundation’s oldest international mobility programme.

Many internationally renowned researchers have been invited under this programme, thereby contributing to the construction and development of scientific cooperation networks and the promotion of French research abroad.
