The WomenLift Health Eastern Africa Leadership Journey is a fully funded 12‑month hybrid leadership development program for mid‑to‑senior career women working in health and interconnected fields (Health++). It combines virtual learning, mentoring, coaching, leadership assessments, two in‑person residencies, and a Health Leadership Project.

Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Identify as a woman.
- Be fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Be a citizen who resides and works in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Sudan, or Burundi.
- Live in EAT (+/-1 hour) time zone for at least 75% of the program.
- Be a mid‑career leader with 10–25 years of work experience in health++.
How Are Fellows Selected
- Based on eligibility, leadership potential, and strength of Health Leadership Project proposal.
- Required letter of recommendation from supervisor or senior leader.
- Cohort size: 35 women leaders.

- Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Burundi.
Where Will the Program Be Taken
- Hybrid: virtual sessions + two in‑person residencies (locations announced closer to dates).
How Many Fellows
- 35 participants selected.
What is the Benefit of the Program
- Fully funded participation (all costs covered: tuition, travel, lodging).
- Mentoring groups with senior leaders.
- One‑on‑one executive coaching.
- Leadership assessments (including 360‑rater evaluation).
- Approx. 87 total learning hours.
- Two in‑person residencies: Immersion (May 25–27, 2027) and Lift‑Off (Feb 8–10, 2028).
- Access to a lifelong Global Fellows network.
- Support to design and implement a Health Leadership Project.
How Long Will the Program Last
- 12 months (March 16, 2027 – February 10, 2028).
